Gravitational microlensing by dressed primordial black holes

چکیده
The accretion of dark matter around the primordial black holes (PBHs) could lead to formation surrounding minihalos, whose mass can be several orders magnitude higher than central PBH mass. gravitational microlensing produced by such dressed PBHs quite different from that bare PBHs, which may significantly affect constraints on abundance. In this paper, we study in detail. We find all effects have asymptotic behavior depending minihalo size, used predict comparing halo size with Einstein radius. When radius and are comparable, effect density distribution is significant microlensing. Applying stellar data Optical Gravitational Lensing Experiment Subaru/HSC Andromeda observations, obtain improved It shows existence minihalos strengthen abundance orders, shift well-known asteroid window where constitute matter.

OGLE and other projects are likely to discover first stellar mass black holes and the first planets through gravitational lensing in the next year or two. It is important to have follow-up projects ready, using diverse observing methods. The best for black hole detection would be a measurement of image splitting with VLTI, or any other optical interferometer. Alternative approach is to measure ...
متن کاملGravitational Microlensing Events Due to Stellar Mass Black Holes
We present an analysis of the longest timescale microlensing events discovered by the MACHO Collaboration during a seven year survey of the Galactic bulge. We find six events that exhibit very strong microlensing parallax signals due, in part, to accurate photometric data from the GMAN and MPS collaborations. The microlensing parallax fit parameters are used in a likelihood analysis, which is a...
متن کاملPrimordial Black Holes
Primordial black holes (PBHs) are a profound signature of primordial cosmological structures and provide a theoretical tool to study nontrivial physics of the early Universe. The mechanisms of PBH formation are discussed and observational constraints on the PBH spectrum, or effects of PBH evaporation, are shown to restrict a wide range of particle physics models, predicting an enhancement of th...
متن کاملFinding Black Holes with Microlensing
The MACHO and OGLE collaborations have argued that the three longest-duration bulge microlensing events are likely caused by nearby black holes, given the small velocities measured with microlensing parallax and non-detection of the lenses. However, these events may be due to lensing by more numerous lower-mass stars at greater distances. We find a-posteriori probabilities of 20%, 8%, and 3% th...
متن کاملAntimatter from Primordial Black Holes
Primordial black holes (PBHs) could have formed in the early universe from the collapse of overdense regions through significant density fluctuations. Their detection nowadays is a great challenge as it could allow both to check the Hawking evaporation mechanism and to probe the early universe on very small scales that remain totally out of the range investigated by CMB or LSS measurements. The...
